Semi antique Persian Tabriz Wool oriental Rug. This Tabriz oriental rug dates from 1960 and measures 12 feet by 9 feet three inches. Lovely blues and nice tight weave. Excellent condition with full pile.

Vintage Japanese obisash silk brocade panel, This "Japanese obisash brocade panel" dates from the 1930 to 1950 period and is in mint condition. The workmanship is exquisite. Measures 166 inches by 27 inches. This piece would make the perfect wall hanging.

Antique Russian Caucasian Rug. This lovely oriental Russian rug measures 59 inches by 43 inches. circa 1900. Excellent condition with tight weave and excellent design qualities. These rugs were made in Russia for a short time to compete with other Caucasian rungs on the market at that time.

Antique Classic style French Aubusson Tapestry

Classical style French Aubusson tapestry, dating to the third quarter of the 18th century. The courting lovers are depicted in the Renaissance style, but the both the field and the borders lack the elaborate detail of the Renaissance period. The Latin words on the scroll are puzzling. Dei is God; Recaturiuus seems to be a proper name; and Nu translates to nod.The tapestry has retained much its rich original colors. Measures 56 and one half inches high and is 70 inches across the center wide.

Anatolian region Turkish kilim

Turkish kilim from the Anatolian region. It is a tribal rug. A kilim is a flat-woven rug, usually of a geometric design, without pile. The metallic threads are probably brass or copper. It is highly unlikely that village weavers of very modest means would use gold. The metal threads are decorative and also provide reinforcement against wear. Kilims are much less durable than pile-woven rugs.
