This is a charming early antique silk needlework embroidery in its original gold leaf frame, measuring 9 by 11 inches. It appears to be the work of a young girl. It depicts a Western gentleman and lady in 17th century attire. The lady holds a pink bird. They stand in a garden beneath 2 palm trees next to a Chinese pagoda. The pagoda is sewn with metallic thread and sequins, now darkened with age. Various stitches are used, including the tiniest French knots I have ever seen. Some minor staining in sky, but colors are bright.

Three Flemish verdure tapestry screen panels, woven in the 17th century. The 2 side panels are 16 inches wide x 63 inches long, and the center panel is 17 inches wide x 63 inches long. The center panel shows 2 ladies and 2 gentlemen making merry in the lavish garden of a country estate. A distant village can be seen near the top, and the fine house is at the bottom, flanked by the figures of Flora and Fauna. The side panels depict Diana the Huntress with her bow. The tapestries are in good condition with normal wear. Some details have muted over the centuries, but the colors are still rich. The panels can be hung as is, or they can easily be hinged to create a folding screen.
