Fernand Leder rug (loom woven) Art Item # 931 "Fernand leder" Art, artist,Fernand Leder Art, Loom woven rug signed vy artist Fernand Leder. This rug was commissioned by the Fernand Leger Museum, in the south of France, for their vestibule. The textile factory that produced the rug is one of the oldest and best in France. After the rug was delivered the museum decided that it was too small for the vestibule space (it measures 8 inches by 8"), and commissioned a larger rug to be made. The "rejected" rug was purchased from the maker. It has been consigned to us for resale. The condition of the rug is excellent. Period English antique Victorian paisley Item # 880 Paisleys, Textiles, "Antique Paisley", Victorian paisley. This is a gorgeous antique English Victorian wool paisley textile of extravagant length. Dates from 1850-1865. Near perfect condition. Very fine weave. Unusually small black center medallion. Mostly soft reds, with blue, green and ivory, and black outlines. Antique American Loom Woven Jacquard Coverlet Item # 374 Early 19th century American loom woven bed coverlet circa 1800 to 1820. Woven on a hand loom by an itinerant weaver. These men traveled by wagon with their looms from town to town. They wove coverlets to order in the housewife's choice of pattern, size, and color. This is a wool and linen reversible "summer winter" coverlet. The deep blue is natural indigo dye.
